Social media strategist

Create and publish original content and promote tribal initiatives on social media platforms. Engage and communicate with Cherokee Nation citizens and followers online. Highlight culture and language when communicating. Monitor analytics to ensure citizens are being reached online and informed of what's happening on the 14-county reservation and beyond.

McClatchy
Editor and designer

Plan, edit and design McClatchy’s Extra Extra — a daily digital newspaper available only to subscribers. Curate stories from McClatchy’s 29 newsrooms and D.C. political bureau to create a comprehensive national report. Write headlines and other display copy in a specific voice for a wide variety of journalism. Lead a team of five editors and designers.

Editor and designer

Designed and edited the international weekly edition, created the design style for NYT: Spending Well and edited for the wire service. It was required to be an expert on Associated Press style for a position on the wire service.

2008 - 2013

University of Oklahoma Student Media
Editor

Directed coverage and oversaw the design of Sooner yearbook and a weekend campus publication. Wrote feature stories and profiles. Directed all promotional and business aspects of the yearbook. Won the 2012 Yearbook Pacemaker, college media’s highest honor.
